Fun time hooking

Hi all, am still without a laptop that has a working net connection at the moment so am still stuck to very quick surfing and tiny, short blog updates using my mobile phone so apologies if this seems very “choppy” and short.

Things here have been going reasonably well here which is always good, no one needs drama in their lives…well I don’t think so anyway. It could be because I’m so Damn tired at the moment all I want is peaceful, quiet places and moments.

I’m tired because for about four nights now i haven’t been able to get a decent nights sleep. I’ve been going to bed around 10-ish, have an hour of meditation to try and unwind, calm my thoughts and ideas from zooming like insane bees through my mind and after that I’ve crawled into bed in the glorious dark and….nothing! My eyes fly awake and I’m staring at the ceiling or tossing and turning like crazy. Poor Loki has taken to sleeping in one pf the spare beds the past few nights so he can sleep and not be exhausted for work…and believe me as a truck driver he needs to be alert on the road.
Anyway last night was the worst! I was in bed again by 11am, did the usual, tossed and turned like mad and then gave up, I grabbed my copy of “Frostbite” (which is the second book in the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead) which I’m re-reading again ad it is a really good series, in hope reading might kick the trip to Sleepsville into motion.    Boy was I wrong, next thing i know I’m mostly through the book and my clock us telling me its 4:55am!! Thankfully I slipped off to sweet sleep not long after that.

That is EXACTLY how I was feeling at 10:30am when i woke back up. (Thanks to my gorgeous Sis Molly for posting this image on my Facebook page, it gave me a sleepy giggle so just had to share it with you) Only a few tiny hours sleep was all i got when BANG my eyes are open and i was not able to drift off again.
So believe me when i say this…its currently 1:31am now and I’m praying sleep will come for me soon.

Okay enough whining (sorry about that, just came babbling out there) I have been keeping busy. So a few good things that have happened since last quick post, 1) Still haven’t mastered the art of spinning yet but am not giving up, but I was voted in as Vice President of the Horsham Spinners and Weavers by the members last meeting…apparently I had been nominated by four other members! I couldn’t believe it but am happy to accept the roll, our president is great so am happy to help. 🙂 my friend Tan was also nominated for the assistant secretary position and was voted in also so she’ll be busy with that.

2) I’ve be busy learning a new motif called the African Flower and now I’m addicted to making them…

And finally (well just for now anyway) I’ve started making myself a granny stripe laptop cover, see…

It’s about half way done and is actually turning out great considering I’m not following a pattern and making it up as I go. I am seriously thinking of writing it down though once its done and sharing it with a few photos so if, once I’ve completed mine and shown it off enough on here and Facebook, you can have a go at making one yourself.

Well that’s about it for now I’m afraid I hope I get a working net connection on my laptop again soon, this using the mobile is a bit….well…Bleh is the only way I can describe it right now. So until next time stay safe and take care all.
